Bondalen River in Saebo

The Bondalen river runs out of the spectacular Hjorundfjorden, just 2 hours drive east of the city of Alesund and only a stone's throw from the popular Geranger Fjord. Bondalen is a small, "intime" and partly narrow river which has a reputation for being a wonderful salmon and trout river.

THE VIKING SAGAFJORD HOTEL is located on the riverside pier in Saebo. Fishing zones in the Bondalen river are just walking distances from the hotel. There is no need for boats on the river, but we recommend starting your journey by spending a few hours with a local guide. The river can be fished with fly and worm as well as limited spoon fishing.

Day 1 - OSLO-ALESUND-SAEBO
• The flight from Oslo to Alesund lasts approximately 45 minutes
• Meet representatives at the airport who will transport you to the hotel
• Dinner and overnight at the Viking Sagafjord Hotel

Day 2 - SAEBO
• Breakfast
• Local guides will give instructions for fishing on the Bondalen river
• Fishing
• Dinner and overnight at the Viking Sagafjord Hotel

Day 3 - SAEBO
• Breakfast
• Fishing
• Dinner and overnight at the Viking Sagafjord Hotel

Day 4 - SAEBO-OSLO
• Breakfast
• Prepare and pack the fish (at the hotel you can have your salmon smoked)
• Transfer to airport for flight to Oslo

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
• Fishing in salt water from boat, with nets or other deep water equipment that is available outside the hotel
• One day excursion to the mountains to fish for trout in the mountain lakes
• Excursion to Geiranger Fjord
