Highlights of the Fjords

Day 1 - OSLO
• Meet at airport and coach transfer to Oslo
• Evening tour through Oslo, stopping at the Viking Ship Museum, the Vigeland Sculpture Park and viewpoints for Holmenkollen, a famous ski arena and ski jump site.
• Overnight in Oslo

Day 2 - OSLO-GEILO
• Breakfast at hotel
• Morning departure for Hadeland Glass Factory, one of the few remaining glass factories in Norway where glass is made by traditional methods. Guests will have the opportunity to experiment with glass blowing and to make their own monogrammed drinking glass. Hadeland also has art and handicraft boutiques.
• Lunch en route
• Continue to Geilo
• Overnight in Geilo

Day 3 - GEILO-BALESTRAND
• Breakfast at hotel
• Depart by train from Geilo to Myrdal, then to Flam
• The Flam Train is a magnificent 50 minute ride on tracks which are considered a masterpiece of engineering. Tour stops at the pier in Flam
• Lunch en route
• Continue by boat out the lovely Sognefjord to Balestrand. The boat arrives practically in the garden of the beautiful Kviknes Hotel.
• Overnight in Balestrand

Day 4 - BALESTRAND-BERGEN
• Breakfast at hotel
• Ship from Balestrand to Gudvangen, changing ferries in open seas in order to continue into the spectacular Naeroyfjord.
• Lunch en route
• Continue by bus up the steep Stalheimskleivene and on to Voss
• Stop shortly at the Dale Sweater Factory, which is renowned for its Norwegian-style sweaters
• Afternoon arrival in Bergen
• Overnight in Bergen

Day 5 - BERGEN-HARDANGER (LOFTHUS)
• Breakfast at hotel
• Morning tour of Bergen
• Continue to Hardangerfjord
• Ferry crossing at Jondal
• Visit the Utne Museum, then continue by ferry from Utne to Kinsarvik
• Lunch en route
• Overnight in Lofthus

Day 6 - LOFTHUS-KONGSBERG
• Breakfast at hotel
• Continue along Sorfjorden to Odda
• Visit the famous Latefoss, a magnificent waterfall
• Stop at Roldal to see the Roldal Tunet, a handicraft and outdoor museum
• Lunch en route
• Stop at Heddal Stavechurch outside of Notodden
• Overnight in Kongsberg

Day 7 - KONGSBERG-OSLO
• Breakfast at hotel
• Before leaving Kongsberg, visit the Silver Mining Museum
• Lunch en route
• Early afternoon arrival in Oslo
